D.I.Y Coffee Body Scrub

If you are looking for a natural scrub, but you don't want to use salt or sugar on it. Today is your lucky day because I'm going to show you how to prepare a scrub with coffee and its amazing benefits

We know exfoliating the skin is very important because we remove the dead skin on it making it look prettier, and helps prevent in growing hairs.

But what if we can get even more benefits on our skin while we exfoliate.

Coffee is known for its antioxidant properties, but also has anti-inflammatory agents and increases the production of collagen that's why is a very common treatment for cellulitis.

When you rub the coffee on the skin helps to reactivate the blood circulation; also leaves the skin smoother than a sugar or salt scrub and reaffirms the skin.

Some people have really sensitive skin that using salt or even sugar to exfoliate can irritate the skin, but coffee grounds are small and softer than sugar so it will never damage your skin.

And it,s soft enough that can be used to exfoliate your face as well.

It's hard to use the same exfoliate for the skin of your face and body, because, body scrub tend to be a little more"aggressive" for the face, as the skin is a lot more delicate to the rest of our body.

To create a scrub all you need is coffee grounds, can be the left overs of your morning coffee and an oil of your choice ( olive, coconut, almond.. ) you can even substitute the oil for honey.

Mix the coffee with the oil or honey until it creates a paste, rub it in circular motions on the skin for 10 seconds and rinse it.

it's better if you do it in the shower because it could be a bit messy.

You will have soft and smooth skin, won't let an oily sensation even in your face, plus coconut oil, olive oil, and almond oil have great moisturizing properties so it won't dry your skin.

Even though, remember after exfoliating and rinse your skin it´s best if you moisturize it.

  1. I love a good scrub, and I love coffee, but sometimes I can't stand the smell of coffee. So I'm not sure I could do with a coffee body scrub -- maybe if the smell is kind of faint. Scrubs are so great for exfoliating both your body and your face, indeed.

  2. What an awesome DIY! I use a similar mask and it really works!
