Easy way to make rose Water at Home

Hello everyone, hope you all are having a great time. Today I have the perfect post for all of us who love roses, and also a great way to reuse the beautiful roses we have at home before they die, sadly they always do and never really last long enough…..

Rose water is a very popular toner specially in the beauty industry, because, it has so many benefits for the skin, it can be used to treat different issues like:

  • Keeps the ph. balance
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antibacterial
  • Has antioxidant properties
  • Helps to clean the skin

Because its popularity it can be found almost everywhere and under so many different brand names, but it can also get a little expensive. But

Did you know you can make it at home?

Searching on the Ethernet I found different methods to do it, so today I’m sharing with you the one method I found not only easy but also the one actually worked.

What you need:

  • Roses ( depends on how much water you want to do I used about 2 roses)
  • Bottled Water
  • A cooking pot
  • A glass container
  • A container with a lid (can be a spray bottle or any bottle you have)

Preparation:

The first thing you need to do is to take off all the petals of the rose, the roses must be fresh, if they are already withered they won’t work. While you take all the petals off, in a cooking pot put some water in, and put it on the stove in a medium temperature until it boils.

Now that you have all your petals start braking them in small pieces, this will help them loose their essence and put them all in a glass container.

Once your water is ready put the hot water on the glass container covering all the petals. You can use a wooden spoon or a wooden stick to mix it a little, to make sure all the petals are covered in water. Leave it there until the water its completely cold.

With a strainer, transfer the water to the bottle where you will keep it. The strainer will prevent the petals to move to the bottle so you can have a clean water.

I don’t recommend you keep the petals on the water, after a couple of days the petals will start to decompose forming a sticky substance and you won’t be able to use the water anymore.

You are done!

Remember to keep it in a place away from the sun.

I love using rose water as a facial toner in the mornings, it helps a lot with my acne problems and the dark spots I have.

Also, helps to relieve any irritations on the skin due to products (chemicals) or the sun

What do you guys think? If you do it at home please don’t forget to share it with me on the comments below, and, what do you use rose water for?
